What time commitment do I have to make?

It's up to you. Your commitment to a volunteer position depends on your circumstances, interests and the requirements of the volunteer position.

What if I don't enjoy the chosen voluntary work?

Please come back to us and we can try to help you find a more suitable position.

Do you cover me for insurance?

Volunteering Wingecarribee does not but the organisation you volunteer for does.

I'm looking for paid work. Could this voluntary work lead to that?

It certainly can, although we cannot guarantee that. Gaining work experience through volunteering is a positive step in seeking employment.

Do I need a police check?

Many organisations require this and will arrange for this to be done.

Does volunteering cover my requirements to Centrelink?
